She turned to the pin wall... so hard to see that is Zordon. "Is there anything we should know before we leave to contact them?" she asked. "I know Billy will be able to contact our Zordon from the lab without a problem if more information needs to be passed to them while they work..."
"It's entirely possible that with the merging of our two realities, the threats we face individually may combine their skills. You will want your team to be more careful than usual." Zordon answered and then was promptly cut off by Alpha, who earned a slightly irritated look.
"Perhaps if your Billy could assist in creating a method of communication that will function down here as well, we can coordinate our efforts more efficiently."
She nodded to Zordon. "If your Rita is anything like ours, you haven't seen the last of her. Of course, I doubt two Ritas could work together for long, but if they're effective enough, they wouldn't have to."
Then Trini looked to Alpha and nodded again. "I'm sure Billy could. He did some amazing things with our communicators. I know he'd be happy to share with other Rangers."
"She'll probably have her coin with her if she comes back. And maybe crashing back onto the planet will kill her again, save us some trouble." Kim commented. "We can just take the coin from her then."
"You should not underestimate her. With the power our Rita possesses, she could pose a terrible threat to you and your reality. She's very capable of working with someone when the situation suits her." Zordon warned, having learned his lesson about every underestimating or doubting Rita.
"That may be a difference between them, then, and perhaps one we can use. But trust me, we're not in the habit of underestimating Rita or her goons. There were puttis on the cliff just before I met this Kimberly. At least one of the Ritas is actively looking for a way to turn this to advantage. But she made a mistake."
She reached out and took Kim's hand and held it.
"Because this? This is a bond that won't be broken. In any and every universe."
Kim blinked, looking down at their hands and then grinned, giving a light squeeze.
"And we're not going to underestimate ours. We got way too close to losing last time, we won't cut it that close again." Plus, they could all morph now, they knew how to form the Megazord. And they had hidden the Zeo Crystal again.
"We can always swing by your Angel Grove and give your Rita two teams to contend with."
"Before yours has a chance to recover," she said, nodding. "That makes a lot of sense. We work as a team before they have a chance to do the same. Two megazords and the Dragonzord? Rita won't know what hit her." She grinned.
"That's a sound tactic." Alpha commented. "Although, if your team comes here, it may be wise to spend time in the Pit and familiarize with what this Angel Grove is threatened by."
Kim could definitely get on board with dealing with another Rita and getting her out of the picture. Maybe her Angel Grove would have to deal with her again, but for now sparing another one from having to continue dealing felt like a good trade,
"The Pit?" she asked. but she nodded. "Any information will be useful, we'll share all we know as well."
She looked to Zordon. "We both clearly mean something different when we speak of Goldar, and Kim didn't know who Scorpina is. There may be much for you and our version of you to share in the way of relevant information."
"It's where we were sent to train after we found the ship." Kim explained. "In the hopes we would learn to morph sooner. It didn't really work as planned but we got some serious experience fighting putties and working together."
Zordon would have nodded but being a face on a wall made that difficult to express.
"Yes. Our Goldar is formed from gold, created by Rita to tear the Zeo crystal from the earth. She is also capable of treating Goldar in a similar manner as the Megazord."
"Without her coin, pretty sure the worst she could throw at us would be putties." Kim added.
"Goldar is one of our Rita's usual henchmen. Him and Scorpina are often what follow puttis before the monster of the week shows up. Sometimes after. If Goldar and putties are all yours has to throw at you, we have a decent shot."
She looked at Kim. "But I don't understand, training to morph sooner? Zordon wasn't able to connect you to the Morphing Grid?"
"That's not how things work for us, unfortunately. We had to learn how to connect to each other to connect to the Morphin Grid and earn our armor. The grid doesn't just open to anyone."
Kim gave a nod towards the platforms in the middle of the control room, five spots. One of each ranger.
Trini opened her mouth to comment then stopped and frowned. Something didn't make sense. She let go of Kim's hand to walk around the platforms in a wide circle. Something was off about them something was..... Oh.
"You said you don't know Tommy yet. So Kim, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack?" she asked, to be sure. She looked up at Zordon. "And Rita used to be a Ranger, and still has her power coin?"
Kim watched, quiet, leaning back against the side of the steps.
"That is correct, Rita was a ranger." He seemed to understand, at least part, of what she was getting at. "You're noting the number of pedestals. The green coin and another ranger, was unexpected, even for my team."
"But for a time she somehow worked with you? Where was her pedestal? Maybe it could be used to help Tommy. He's the Green Ranger on our team, but Rita and Goldar managed to corrupt his power. If using her place here could fix it...."
"Rita was my friend. She and the green power coin were unique in that they were outliers, unexpected and unprepared for. Though perhaps, if her coin is recovered, we can use its link to the Morphin Grid to correct your own green rangers powers."
It was worth a shot, the trouble was just in finding Rita or her coin now. And getting her to relinquish it.
"Shouldn't be too hard. I mean, two ranger teams? We can just make it a straight on assault against her, she wouldn't stand a chance." Kim crossed her arms, confident. Maybe too confident, it was hard to tell. But if they had managed their Rita, two teams should make it possible.
She hesitated, then looked to Zordon. "Is... is that okay? Or... does that count as escalating?" she asked, unsure. She liked the idea, a lot. But she was a hero from a 90s after school show, she followed the rules. She had to ask.
"It would be escalating a conflict." He answered, making Kim roll her eyes.
"Yeah but she provides a constant threat to earth and the people there, right?" She looked to Trini. "Which seems more like she's escalated the conflict already."
