With a final snap kick the last of the putties went down and vanished. What had Rita been trying to keep her from? She had been heading this way to explore and... and to work on her fear of heights. She figured if she started out where she knew she was high up, but could only just see the cliff face, and then slowly work her way each day a little closer to the edge...
Her friends had gotten hurt because of her fear. She was a power ranger, she would master her fear. She had to. She had managed to overcome it for a moment here and there when the need was great. But that was like beating putties. It always came back, usually at an inconvenient time. She needed to be rid of this fear. Once and for all.
She didn't think anyone was around, so there was no harm to staying morphed. Besides, she was confronting her fear to be a better Ranger... so... So if she had to justify it, that was her justification. The fact that the armor helped make her braver... She would deal with that in time. For now she would take the safety offered. Kim spent a lot of time hiking trails, through the woods or up by the mines where she and her friends- it was still a little strange thinking of them as friends- had found the power coins. She'd never even kept track of what classes she had with Trini, and Jason got notice only because of football and even that slipped off her radar. She'd never even given the time of day to geeks like Billy, a regret now that she knew how kind he was and how hopeful. And Zack just wasn't at school enough.
She looked up and spotted a sheer climb, remembering how the last time she'd climbed much had been the day after they had all woken up without memory of getting home. Which prompted her to climb the surface without much thought, smile on her face, and up to the next part of the trail, moving along it casually after.
Until she spots someone in similar yellow armor. That was confusing. Her coin was in her pocket and it suddenly felt heavier. Logically, she knew it wasn't, but her attention was hyper-focused on this person and her coin.
"Hey! What the hell?"

Trini heard the call and turned back. A girl, about their age. No sense she was like Scorpina or any of Rita's goons. For one thing, she didn't attack. But keeping her secret identity was going to be hard if this was someone from Angel Grove High that she simply didn't know. It was a large school, and her responsibilities as a Power Ranger had been taking up a lot of her time, recently.
Still, she was used to people seeing the Rangers as heroes, so the swear word and the implied accusation in the question was odd. Given the putti patrol had been here, she better investigate. She headed back down the trail towards the other girl, head tilting inquisitively, hoping to avoid speaking if at all possible. She wasn't sure how muffled her voice would be through the helmet to someone who wasn't a ranger.

Overall though, it was pretty close to Trini's armor. Pretty close. There were tons of youtube videos now of the rangers fight against the putties and Goldar though, of the red ranger running and saving Jason's dad. Kids were drawing them everywhere. There wasn't exactly hard to find a good source.

"Head home, right." She paused for a moment, glancing up to where the ravine the ship was under could be found. "Not happening. I have business here. And really don't need anyone worrying about me. I'm not worried, you shouldn't be either."
Maybe she'd let her friends worry but not some stranger acting like she was Trini. Sure, be a fan, but she wasn't going to let someone tell her how to do something or where to go. She never let anyone really boss her around.

She sighed a bit. "Then I'll stay with you and keep you safe until you are ready to leave." She couldn't, and wouldn't, leave someone in danger. Even if they did irritate her some. She was all but itching to get back to Zordon. And she wished Kim and Jason were there, or Zack. They were all better at talking to strangers than she was. She and Billy tended to hang back more. She was always more confident talking to her friends, or in front of a group, than one on one to a stranger.

She suppressed a shudder. "You do not have the proper equipment for such a dive," she said, forcing her voice to stay even. Was this another trick of Rita's? Attacking their deepest fears, again? And what did she mean she'd fought puttis before? "I think I should escort you back to town." And call the other Rangers, Quick. Check in with Zordon as soon as she could. Something about this was very much not right.

Rita's made one ranger to fight us already, I thought that this might be the same, that maybe we could make a friend and ally of her as well, but... Zordon... she said something about Trini. "When Rita summoned her split monster that divided you rangers into separate parts it also tore a rip in the fabric of the universe, causing it to bleed over into another. The two universes have now merged. There are now two Ritas, and two sets of Rangers."
"Does... that mean there are also two Zordons and two Alphas?" Trini asked. That was... either very reassuring or very alarming. She was not yet sure which.
"It does. Rangers, you must work together to stop Rita, both of them, and I will contact the other Zordon so that we can find a way to close the gap, returning both worlds to their rightful state."
